TO RENT WITH US YOU WILL NEED:
- A valid bank account – LONG TERM RENTAL payments are taken by Direct Debit via London & Zurich ONLY
- To provide photographic ID of the USER, e.g. passport or driving license, on delivery (or store collection) of your rental products
- Somewhere safe, dry and secure to store the equipment
- To pay the Set-Up Fee which is a one-off payment that includes setting up your contract, Direct Debit, a full demonstration of the product, adjustment to the users needs and carer basic training

Most of our customers receive VAT Exemption due to disability or chronic illness

VAT Exemption
Most of our customers receive VAT Relief on eligible products due to their disability or chronic illness – this is a Government benefit that many can claim but are not aware of and can offer great savings to those who rely on various aids to live their lives!
All you need to do is complete the simple form below, it is a self declaration that requires no additional proof or paperwork and there is an extensive list of eligible conditions including common ailments such as arthritis. Qualifying customers then pay the lower, VAT exempt price that is stated in brackets on our website and in our catalogue. You only need to do this once to receive relief for all eligible purchases you make with us, both online and instore, however if your situation changes you must notify us and submit a new declaration.
Simply enter full contact details, select the condition and complete by typing your name at the bottom,
which acts as an electronic signature. Relief can be claimed on someone else’s behalf, in this case the form should be filled out with the USER’s details but electronically signed by the person acting on their behalf.
You qualify for exemption if:
- you have a physical or mental impairment with long-term and substantial adverse effects, e.g. blindness
- you have a condition that is treated as chronic sickness, e.g. diabetes
- you are terminally ill
It does NOT include an elderly person who is not disabled or chronically sick or any person who’s only temporarily disabled or incapacitated, such as with a broken limb.

TO RENT WITH ACCESS ABLE YOU WILL NEED:
- A valid bank account – LONG TERM rental payments are taken by Direct Debit via London & Zurich ONLY
- To provide photographic ID, e.g. passport or driving license on delivery (or store collection) of your rental product
- To have somewhere safe, dry and secure to store the equipment
- To return the equipment undamaged, clean and complete at the end of the rental period
If you decide during your contract that the equipment isn’t suitable, please contact us
and we’ll arrange an exchange if possible (additional charges may be applicable)
You can extend your contract at any point, just give us a call or re-order online
(select ‘STORE Collection & Return by YOU’ at checkout and type ‘EXTENSION’ in the comment box)
Delivery & Collection
You have 2 delivery options at checkout:
1. ‘HOME Delivery & Collection by US’ (we deliver to your address on the start date and collect from you on the end date)
2. ‘STORE Collection & Return by YOU’ (you collect from our Bristol store on the start date and return to us on the end date)
- The ‘HOME Delivery & Collection by US’ charge includes delivery of the equipment to your door by an Access Able engineer with demonstration and your questions answered, and collection of the equipment from your home at the end of your contract
- If you select ‘HOME Delivery & Collection by US’ we’ll call you (on the number you provide at checkout) to arrange a delivery time for your selected start date. We’ll then call you in the week prior to your contract ending to arrange collection
- If you select ‘HOME Delivery & Collection by US’ please inform us of any access requirements at the delivery address if applicable, e.g parking restrictions, exterior/interior steps to front door etc. by leaving a note in the comment box at checkout
- If you select ‘STORE Collection & Return by YOU’ please wait 3 working days from your order and then drop in-store at any time Monday-Friday 9am-5pm to pick up your equipment. Return of the equipment can be any time within specified business hours
- If your rental end date falls on a weekend the collection/return of the equipment is extended to the Monday at no further cost
- Our online rental service is a standardised procedure and you can only select one of the 2 delivery options above, if you’d like to combine the options, either complete your transaction online selecting the ‘STORE Collection & Return by YOU’ option and then give us a call to take payment for the one-way delivery, or give us a call to complete your entire rental transaction offline
If you would prefer that we only contact you by email rather than telephone, to make necessary delivery arrangements or to inform you of any issues with your order, please just leave a note in the comment box at checkout
Payment
LONG TERM RENTAL
- Your contract set up fee and 1st rental payment is paid by credit/debit card at time of order
- Recurring rental payments are then taken by Direct Debit via London & Zurich ONLY, you must have a valid bank account and ensure there are sufficient funds on the date the payments are due
- Recurring rental payments are taken by Direct Debit via London & Zurich. You must set up a Direct Debit mandate for your rental contract to be processed, you can do this by CLICKING HERE, or by selecting the link at checkout or in your confirmation email following your order
- Your rental contract starts on the date of delivery/collection of equipment. If you choose MONTHLY rental payments, your Direct Debit payments will begin on this date the month after your rental contract starts and continue on this date each month for the remainder of your contract. If you choose 4-WEEKLY rental payments, your Direct Debit payments will begin 4 weeks from your rental contract start date and continue every following 4 weeks for the remainder of your contract.
Payment dates can be flexible to suit your needs, so if you would like to change your payment date at the start or throughout your contract, just give us a call on 0117 980 1820 or email [email protected] - If you would like to order equipment to rent on a future date, simply place your order now and pay the initial payment (contract set up fee and 1st rental payment). At the checkout there will be a calendar for you to select your desired rental start date. Set up your Direct Debit mandate either at the time of order or before your rental start date; your recurring payments will then begin as explained in the point above
- If a direct debit is not paid for any reason, Access Able will charge the hirer a £10 administration fee. We will initially contact you by telephone on the number provided with your order to discuss this. Please see our Terms & Conditions for full information on failed rental payments
